What You Can Do
If we are to safeguard the future of Woodhouse Farm as a community resource, then we need your help.
We need to raise £750,000 alone to develop and equip the proposed Food Centre. A further £250,000 will be needed to enable the other derelict farm buildings to be restored and put to use.
We will, of course, be applying for grants from various local and national sources, but even so we will need to a lot of support from people like you to help realise our vision for the farm.
We hope you will be able to support us in one or more of these ways:
- Becoming a shareholder - you will soon be able to buy shares in Woodhouse Community Farm Ltd. This will be a vital part of our fundraising. Shares will cost a minimum of £50 each and you will be able to buy anything from one to 400 shares. If at some point in the future you wish to sell your shares, you can. Further details will be available when we launch our share issue but you can register your interest now.
- Making a donation – Gifts are very welcome!
- Volunteering – we need people to help us with everything from work on the farm to booking group visits, organising events and stuffing envelopes. We plan to hold regular volunteer days where you can get involved in the fun atmosphere of these ‘let’s muck in together' events.
- Becoming a trustee – we are going to need more people to help direct the project from now on. Please consider becoming a trustee and contribute to the management and future of Woodhouse Community Farm.
